Nowadays Ballroom Dancing Holidays have become extremely popular – dance lovers are delighted to spend a happy few days relaxing and dancing, often taking advantage of the MasterClasses/Lessons included, to improve their efforts. There may be a whole week on offer, or four or two-day breaks, or week-ends. They may attend Group Classes for specific dances. Or they may arrange for individual/private instruction on the dance/dances of their choice, improving their routines or adding new variations. They can learn and dance to their hearts content, as it were, with no worries about transport. preparing meals, getting back home late at night, and in addition - if it applies - no worries about the children!

Small children may be put to bed and 'popped in on' at intervals, while parents re-kindle romance at a candle-lit dinner, and in a beautiful ballroom!

The Carrington possesses two ballrooms with excellent purpose built floors, and there is always 'space to dance!' Wisely, Paul Eden always sets a suitable limit to the number of his guests – he insists that there will be no chance of 'crowding'. Music and a floor will be available for practice sessions – of course, free of charge!

And Paul Eden is celebrated for his Music Collection, particularly chosen for ballroom Standard and ballroom Latin dancing! This is the real thing, purpose written, from early to contemporary, but always 'The Music which Helps You to Dance!'

LEARNING YOUR LESSONS – RYAN WILSON and OLESIA KOSIK

This present Holiday includes a series of Ballroom Standard Lessons from Ryan Wilson and Olesia Kosik. This young Professional couple operate their own now well established Dance School in Bournemouth.

'DANCE FANATICA'.

The Dance Fanatica Studio is a new, purpose-built building, with a beautiful ballroom and every convenience, and has in fact already 'taken off' to an excellent start.

Pupils of all ages, from toddler to elderly, are welcomed - children and young beginners enjoy their efforts particularly – and Ryan and Olesia are official Instructors for the notable group of Ballroom/Latin dance enthusiasts who are students at Bournemouth University. These are a successful Team in Inter/Varsity Competition. All over the country, and in fact internationally, British University Student Dance Groups regularly compete.

RYAN and OLESIA STEPPING OUT

This evening Ryan and Olesia have performed their 'Demonstration' – their Cabaret, the Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Tango and the Viennese Waltz, and from the remarks offered, our guests were charmed! ''Beautiful......Elegant......a unique approach.......a new style.........now that was a bit different!.......Oh, she looked lovely!....A beautiful version of Foxtrot.... .A really super Waltz!''

And many approving comments on their Lessons! 'We are so much enjoying the teaching!' 'We have improved!' 'It makes such a difference!' …..'so much more confidence!'

TANGO TIME

Back to the floor, and a notable instance this evening is the Argentine Tango - it seems that a whole section of these one hundred guests are knowledgable and enthusiastic here, and the overall effect is fascinating – all appear remarkably competent. Delightful.....each pair wrapped firmly together according to the accepted Argentine influence! Probably because in this dance the lady's left arm is placed high, around her partner's neck..... helping that close contact hold! Nice! But they are certainly competent, some really accomplished with intricate foot-work, and all stunning to watch.

BEING GUESTS

Betty and Jim Hillyer are from Lincoln, and are regulars also at Eden Nights at Ross on Wye – The Paddocks – 'always on August Bank Holiday'! Nigel and Sheila, committed Dance Holiday dancers, are also from Lincoln, and are one of those pairs who definitely please the eye - they produce what we look for in Social Dancing. So nice to see!

Patrick and Joan are from Exeter. Around are couples from London, from Chippenham, Milton Keynes - apparently a further number of Guests now on this floor have been obliged to stay elsewhere, at the very delightful Chine Hotel just along the road, due to lack of accomodation here – but they attend for lessons and practice, and for the Social Evenings.

Peter and Rita – well known Bournemouth dance enthusiasts – are from Sidcup. They have been dancing together for 25 years, and very nicely too! Carole and Bill from Tunbridge Wells – Carole has been dancing for 20 years, Bill has been studying ballroom for 6 years, and moved on to Latin 2 years ago – all highly successful pairs! Tom and Christine from Exeter have been dance partners for some six years – and it has certainly paid off, they 'enjoy it so much' – and are very, very nice to watch! 'Eden Nights is definitely the best holiday to go to, the music is excellent!' says Tom. John and Jean from Exmouth have been dancing together and enjoying these holidays for some 7 years......soon they will be heading for the Eden Holiday at the Wessex Hotel at Street, Somerset.

OUR HOSTS

Carole is a smooth and slinky delight in scarlet satin. Her matching flare-heeled 'sandal type' dance shoes in scarlet and silver are stunning enough to curl our toes with envy! Paul and Carole are certainly to be thanked for a truly enjoyable and satisfactory Holiday, excellent Teaching, and a Cabaret to be remembered!
